A Multi-Supplier Dropshipping Store: CJ, AliExpress and Local Suppliers Together
Relying on one supplier limits your range, delivery times and prices. Successful Gulf stores often combine several sources: a global platform for range, a nearby warehouse for speed and a local supplier for products that must arrive within days.
When to use each supplier
- CJdropshipping: no minimum order, Saudi and UAE warehouses for stocked products, and an API that is easy to switch on.
- AliExpress: the widest range, with many products shipping from different countries; it needs an approved AliExpress Open Platform app and orders are paid in your account there.
- A local supplier or your stock: the fastest delivery, ideal for best-sellers or items that are hard to ship internationally.
What happens when a customer orders from several suppliers?
The customer sees one cart and one payment. Behind the scenes the order is split: each supplier receives only its products and ships them from its warehouse, and each part gets its own tracking number. Mention on your shipping page that an order may arrive in more than one parcel.
Pricing and shipping with several suppliers
- Price each product from its own cost and real shipping cost from its warehouse, not a general average.
- Use a maximum delivery time so slow-shipping products stay out of your store.
- For local products, include local shipping in the price or show it at checkout.
Organising daily work
- Give each supplier its own import keywords.
- Check daily for orders awaiting payment at the supplier, such as AliExpress orders.
- With local suppliers, agree on a fixed handling time and ask for tracking as soon as they ship.
The DropStore template runs CJ, AliExpress and a local supplier in one store, splitting orders and following tracking automatically. Also read the CJdropshipping guide.
